It has started to snow again in Hokkaido after a week of ‘heat wave’ and sunny spell. It looks like winter was just about hanging in there. In 24 hours the black roads are white again. The snow came with wind and it was reflected in the snow pack as we explored Asahidake. Pat, head ninja was also on the mountain searching for areas without wind scouring where the soft snow has settled. Asahidake always has a surprise up her sleeve, the ever changing conditions and the nuances of her landscape made it a fun treasure hunt. A super fun day of exploration.
