Want to ski 1300m vert in one shot through ice, pow, trees, cliff band and next to a shrine. Hellz yeah! Today we rode with Camilla, Ivan, Rodolphe & Will on their first day in Japan.
Kurodake has been closed for a month and it is finally opened again. Due to the lack of snow fall and high winds, we didn’t have high hopes for finding pow. Since it was a nice day we thought we would have a go at summiting this iconic mountain. Thanks to all the other skiers who left an untouched gully for us, and Pat for leading us right to it on our descent. It was a sublime top to bottom run. Stoke level maxed out! Sometimes you only need one amazing run.
