We headed to Kurodake before the imminent mid winter closure today. With the calm before the storm and the warm front, it started off a lovely clear day with the summit in sight. We toured up to 1800m on reasonably grippy snow before the snow surface changed to more boot pack friendly. We called it at 1850m and cruised down with the twin spires as a back drop. Thank you for a great couple of days Junto, Jules & Luke. Hopefully see you in Feb when we have more snow!
