A classic Asahidake day after almost a meter of snowfall in the previous 36 hours. The mountain was closed for most of the morning the day before with a handful of die hard skiers/boarders hiking up for a run. Condition was still a bit on the edge with low visibility and decent amount of wind.
There was a certain buzz in the air and the punters were rushing about. Once we have pushed out to our drop zone away from the crowd, it was just pure powder heaven. Typically Asahidake – short, steep and deep with guaranteed smiles at the end.
There is not much storyline in this clip, just powder skiing. Enjoi.
